Day 01 – Part 2 Nightime riding
First stop – Barstow 4 a. Short break and double shot up. Scenes at a night time stop . Pretty exiting, isn’t it. It is about 85 degrees with a good breeze. Not 4 bad riding…

Day 01 – Change in Plans….
Shai, his mom, Mimi and the rest of the family friends are in Las Vegas this week. Originally they were staying till Saturday morning. I was going to leave Thursday night after work and pick Shai up in Vegas on Friday morning and leave there for Sturgis.
Last night after about 4 beers while at the Angel’s baseball game, I get a text message from Shai’s mom that they will be leaving Thursday morning instead due to some circumstances.
Now I really didn’t want Shai to drive from Vegas to my house, only to turn around and ride at night on the back of my bike through the desert heat back to Las Vegas! I also didn’t want to leave early Friday from home as that would have left only 3 days for 1,400 miles – no problem for me but I didn’t want Shai to have tall days to begin with and wanted to have some fun on the road.
So I deceided to take Thursday off work and leave tonight. I still have things to pack and wrap up as I was planning one more night to pack. So I probably won’t leave the house till about 8:00 p.m. tonight and I’ll have about 250 miles to travel tonight. Not a big deal, but I am a bit hung over from last night :).
Update:
I’m just about done packing, just going to shower and relax till 8:00 p.m. Weather looks good.
That time of year is coming up again!
Sturgis! And this year Shai is going! It looks like it will just be Shai and I at this time, but that may change. We will be leaving Las Vegas on Friday, July 31st. And Big Steve is letting us use his SPOT, so my sisters may be snooping again and following along.
Over the next two weeks I’ll be updating this website.
