Why Sturgis Again?
I don’t know!
For me it is like a migration for this time of year. Like the birds heading south for the winter. Sure, I’ve been there plenty of times, but why do you do it? I guess it is I love the ride out there in the middle of summer, love the scenery to get there, and just love to get away! It is also knowing that a bunch of other riders that love to throw a leg over a bike, twist the throttle and ride across the country come to hang for a week. Sure – it is a zoo, lots of people, traffic, ect. You could come here when nobody is here, but the excitement and the fever isn’t the same.
The ride out and back is fun – you meet people, they ask if your heading to Sturgis or if you are coming from there. There are other riders you meet while traveling either heading, bouncing, coming, or avoiding Sturgis – but it is always Sturgis that gets the focus.
So, I really don’t know why I keep going…. I guess I’m heading “south for the winter”
